x= (f (x) - 5)/(4)

Explanation:

f(x) = 4x+5

- 5 for both

f(x) - 5 = 4x+5 -5

4x = f (x) - 5

divided 4 for both

(4x)/4 = (f (x) - 5) / 4


x= (f (x) - 5)/(4)
