Andrew Jackson shaped our American democracy by:

• incorporating the people more
• expanding suffrage (voting)

Jackson shaped American democracy through incorporating the people more into what decisions were made. Another way he shaped it was through expanding the right to vote, which gave all white men the ability to vote. This process was significantly simpler than the women’s suffrage movement because it took almost a century for them to get their rights.
