If each of the numbers in the following data set were multiplied by 18, what

would be the new median of the data set?
14, 20, 18, 58, 71, 36, 28

what would be the new median of the data set ?

The answer is 28 or 504. My explanation....

ALRIGHT! So, it took me a little while to do it all.... since I wasn't really sure if it was already multiplied by 18 or not.

So the normal numbers in order from least to greatest,(because that's easier)

14, 18, 20, 28, 36, 58, 71.

The new numbers I multiplied by 18 are...

252, 324, 360, 504, 648, 1044, 1268.

When I put it like that you can clearly see the new median. 28 and 504!
