Sustainability means to “keep.” The importance of sustainable development is that it saves resources for future use, and it prevents the resources in use from going to waste. Any renewable resource would be considered sustainable because we are assured that it can reform. Non renewable resources, such as coal and and fossil fuels, are not sustainable and should therefore be sustainably developed. In other words, the importance of sustainable development is that it helps for the preservation and future utilization of helpful resources to mankind.
