I'm gonna solve it in words

each day the snail climbs 3 feet but drops down to 2 feet ( 3-2 = 1)

let the days it will take be equal to X

we divide 10 feet by the feet reached a day, it will become:

10/1 = X

Cross multiply

X = 10

so it would take 10 days for the snail to reach 10 feet
