The flower was not watered. The flower is wilted. Distinguish which of these two

statements is the observation and which is the inference. Explain how you made your

the inference would be “the flower was not watered” and the observation would be “the flower is wilted”. using the keyword “IS” we can assume that they are talking about the present and what they can currently observe, as is is present. was not indicated past tense, and because we as individuals don’t live in the past tense it’s logical to assume that is the inference, as not watering a flower would result in a currently wilted flower
