Explanation:

Slope of the line (m)=(y2 -y1)/(x2 -x1)

given

(x1, y1)=(-4 , 5)

(x2,y2)=(-7 , 8)

Now using the above formula

m =(8-5)/(-7-(-4))

m = (3)/(-7+4)

m= 3/(-3)

m=-1

therefore the slope of the line is -1
