The formula for finding the perimeter of a square is
P=4a, where P=perimeter, a=side length.

We know
a, so we plug that into the equation


P=4(5x+2)

Now we also know the perimeter, so we plug that into the formula


48=4(5x+2)

Or


4(5x+2)=48
