How are lagoons affected by ocean water

Coastal lagoons are created as a shallow receptacle near the reinforcement gradation erodes, and the ocean seeps in between the bars or hedge islets. The size and depth of littoral lagoons frequently depend on ocean position. When the ocean position is low, littoral lagoons are swampy washes.

Hope this helps :)
