X+16 + x+14 =14 solve for x
I'm a little stuck on this question, can anyone help?​

X+16+x+14=14 then we first of all combine like terms so that is x+x+14+16=14.
2x+30=14
Combine like terms and note whenever a number with any sign like + is passing through an equal to sign it will change to a -(minus
So……
2x=14-30
2x=-16
It has a minus sign the number to subtract is lesser
Then we divide both side by the coefficient of x which is 2
That is x=-8.
