Answer: (x-1)^1/3 power

Inverse is when you input or switch the x and y values. Leaving us with x= cuberoot(y)+1 solving for y equals the answer above.

Answer:

(x-1)^3=y

Explanation:

Well, the inverse of a function is when the domain and range are swapped such that the inverse:
f^(-1)(f(x))=x.

So essentially if you take the output of the original function f(x), and put that in as the input to the inverse function, you're going to get the original input that was given to the original function f(x) (only for 1 to 1 functions)

We can find the inverse by simply swapping the x and y variables in the equation:

y=\sqrt[3]{x}+1

Swap x and y

x=\sqrt[3]{y}+1

Now let's solve for y, first subtract 1

x-1=\sqrt[3]{y}

Cube both sides

(x-1)^3=y
