there are 10 cookies on a plate. 6 with chocolate and 4 with strawberry jam. Alexander will choose 2 of these cookies to pack in his lunch. what is the probability that he will choose 2 different cookies?

We would use the method of combinations to solve this problem:

There are 6 cookies. Aidan chooses 2 of them: (6C2) which is 6 choose 2, or (6 * 5)/2 = 15. The answer is 15 pairs.
