you're given two points here, which is just enough info to figure out the slope.

the equation for slope is as follows.

the two points you have can be notated as (x1, y1) and (x2, y2).

(y2-y1) divided by (x2-x1) will give you the slope.

let's use that and plug the points in.

(8-(-4))/(-1-2)

= 12/-3 = -4

so your answer will be A!
