How is my stamp and the Cylinder Seal alike and different?

Answer:

The cylinder could be quickly rolled over clay and left a long and unbroken impression. This gave it an advantage over its antecedent, the stamp seal, which could not cover clay as comprehensively or with so little work. This is perhaps one of the reasons for the invention of the cylinder seal
