Solution:

We have,


2-(5)/(6)x=(7)/(8)

Denominators values are 6 and 8. LCM of 6 and 8 is 24 so multiply both sides by 24.


24\left(2-(5)/(6)x\right)=24* (7)/(8)


24(2)-24\left((5)/(6)x\right)=24* (7)/(8)


48-4* 5x=3* 7


48-20x=21

Therefore, the required equation is
48-20x=21.
