Cultural diffusion can occur through trade, travel/ migration and conflicts.
An effect of cultural diffusion could be cultural improvement based upon new knowledge from other cultures, new technologies could be shared, and a more negative could be the spread of disease. (Examples of disease could be the Bubonic plague or smallpox).
