Given:

A figure of a right triangle.

To find:

The value of x and value of y.

Solution:

In a right angle triangle,

\sin \theta = (Opposite)/(Hypotenuse)

\cos \theta = (Base)/(Hypotenuse)

In the given triangle,

\sin (60^\circ)=(x)/(6)

(√(3))/(2)=(x)/(6)

(√(3))/(2)* 6=x

3√(3)=x

And,

\cos (60^\circ)=(y)/(6)

(1)/(2)=(y)/(6)

(1)/(2)* 6=y

3=y

Therefore, the value of x is
3√(3) and the value of y is 3.
