Answer:

x=16, y=39

Explanation:

to solve y=2x+7

Substitute 2x+7 for y in y=3x−9

y=3x−9

( solve this like a normal problem)

2x+7=3x−9 (Add -3x to both sides)

-x+7=-9 (Add -7 to both sides)

-x=-16 (Divide both sides by -1)

x=16

Now that you found x you can substitute this in the other problem.

y=3(16)-9

y=39
