Find the hypotenuse of a right triangle that has one side of 7 cm and another
one of 3 cm.

To find it, use the formula a^2 plus b^2=c^2. So 7 times 7 is 49, 3 times 3 is 9. 49 plus 9 is 58, take the square root of your answer which would be 7.6 because that is the square root of 58 rounded to the nearest tenth.

The hypotenuse is the square root of 58.
a^2+b^2=c^2
7^2+3^2=c^2
49+9=c^2
58=c^2
c= square root of 58
