“Stores typically put these items in the farthest reaches of the store to expose customers to the maximum amount of product on their 'quick trip' so they will impulsively buy other things,” says Tesler.

Answer:

Stores typically put items that are needed in the farthest reaches of the store to expose customers to the maximum amount of product on their 'quick trip' so they will impulsively buy other things. Put the most consumable products at the back of the store, so people have to go through the rest of the product to get to what they want, and will most likely buy more than they came for.
