The 1920s, like Starburst, were full of inconsistencies... The emergence of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) coincided with the rise of the Harlem Renaissance. The KKK perpetrated hate crimes against these black people, including burning crosses in their front yards and murdering them in some cases.
