y = -4x + 4

Explanation:

y = (1/4)x - 1

m = (1/4)

Slope of the line perpendicular to this line = -1/m = -1 ÷ (1/4)


= (-1)*(4)/(1)\\\\=-4

(3 , -8)

y - y1 =m(x -x1)

y -[-8] = -4(x - 3)

y + 8 = -4x + 12

y = -4x + 12 - 8

y = -4x + 4
