How to multiply fractions

For example,


(1)/(2) *(1)/(2)

They both do have the same denominator, so we can multiply them.

We need to multiply the numerators.

Next, multiply the denominators.

We then get:

1/4

If the denominators are not the same, find the LCD (Least Common Denominator) of the two fractions. Then, follow above.
