marissa went to the store and purchased a granola bar for .95 a bottle of water for 1.25 and a pack of gum. The total for her purchases was 3.05 . how do you solve it

If they are not asking for tax: add up the cost of the water and granola bar and subtract from the total. .95+1.25=2.20
3.05-2.20= .85 for the pack of gum
