The Founding Fathers developed the Electoral College to ensure that the larger states don’t unfairly influence elections. In what way do the larger states still have an advantage in the election process?

The larger states have an advantage due to population. Example - California which is both large in size and population has 55 electoral college. But the only reason larger states have more electoral college votes is bc of their population!
