What will happen to a population of animals if an infectious disease spreads and kills much of

the population?

The population will first decrease overtime, eventually the populations enzymes will adapt itself to the infectious disease, and eventually become immune to it causing the disease to no longer affect them,

Disease outbreaks can kill thousands of animals very quickly. They hit especially hard if the animals are rare, threatened or fragmented species.
