Let the length of the added meteor = x

To obtain the total length, we sum of each meteror multiplied by its frequency is obtained ;

(2/8)(1)+(3/8)(3)+(4/8)(2)+(6/8)(2)+(10/8)(1)+(11/8)(2)+(14/8)(2)+(15/8)(1) + 2x = 16

13.25 + 2x = 16

13.25 + 2x = 16

2x = 16 - 13.25
