Find area of base

  • Volume/Height
  • 1260/18
  • 70cm²

Now

Height of trapezoid base be x

  • 1/2(12+8)x=70
  • 20x=140
  • x=7cm

Answer:

  • 7 cm

Explanation:

Volume of the prism is the product of its base area and height

  • V = AH
  • V = 1260 cm³
  • H = 18 cm

Find base area:

  • A = 1260/18 = 70 cm²

Area of the trapezoid:

  • A = 1/2(b₁ + b₂)h

Substitute given values and solve for h:

  • 70 = 1/2(12 + 8)h
  • 70 = 10h
  • h = 70/10
  • h = 7 cm
