In serious federal crimes, what is the name given to the formal hearing in which the defendant pleads their guilt or innocence?

It’s an arraignment it informs the defendant of their charges and gives them a time to enter their plea so the court proceedings can continue on either with a plea deal or a trial or something else that I don’t know about
