What positions of power did Andrew Jackson hold prior to the election of 1824 that earned him support from voters in southern and frontier states?

Andrew Jackson has many leadership roles before he was president. For example, in 1796 he served as a delegate in the Tennesse Consitutitional Convention where he helped draft the first state constitution and bill of rights of Tennesse. Jackson was also apart of the US senate in 1797, but resigned a year later and moved back home. After he resigned, he was elected as a judge for Tennesse Supreme Court. He also was head of the state millita during the war of 1812.
