Why does a good long term involve flexibility and compromise. Serious answers only cause its for my hw

Long term, in any sense of the meaning (i.e relationships, architecture, etc.), requires the ability to be able to change alongside being strong. Identifying mistakes and cracks (literal and metaphorical) allows things to grow and modify—and become even more powerful.
