According to Islamic teachings...travelers can shorten their prayers it’s a sunnah muakadah (confirmed sunnah).

A traveler can shorten his dhuhr, asr and isha prayers (4 rakahs to 2)..

As for Fajr and Magrib..there is not shortening .
