The American Revolution could have been prevented if the British did not tax the colonies. Or, if they at least had representation in Parliament. If Britain gave the colonies the rights they wanted, the war would have never happened. If the British did not restrict the colonists’ rights so much, everything would be fine. The Coercive acts of 1774 only fueled the colonists’ hatred for the British. In short, Britain should have been more lenient.
