Terry has a large bucket of water. He uses 2.25 gal to

water his plants. Next, Terry uses 1.33 gal of the
water to clean his gardening tools. Finally, he adds 4.8
gal of water to the bucket.
What is the overall change in the number of gallons of water in Terry’s bucket?

I think the answer is 3.47

Explanation:

Terry starts out with 2.25 gallons, and he uses 1.33 so you subtract these so he has .92 gallons left. He adds 4.8 gallons so you add 4.8 to .92 and get 5.72 gallons total in the bucket... If the question is asking how much change between the beginning and end I would say 5.72- 2.25= 3.47
