Why do you think that each pointe shoe made will not be exactly alike, even though they may be constructed by the same cobbler (shoe maker)?

Nothing is ever exactly the same especially when hand made. And when they are made by a shoe maker they could be made to fit the dancers foot exactly so it if their feet were a little different the pointe shoes would be different.

Answer:

I would say that anything being hand-made will never have two of the same, simply because of it being hand-made things can't be perfectly replicated. Also, many ballerinas like to do things to the shoes to make them fit/work better. For example, they'll sew the arches or ankles to provide more support, and will bend the shoe in half so it isn't as stiff.
