Was the Declaration of Independence and the colonists' fight in the Revolution unavoidable? Was there any way to avoid the conflict, either by the actions of the British or the Americans?

The British could have listened to the Colonists' complaints about the restrictions and taxes that were being unjustly placed on them. One of the most major factors that contributed to the Revolutionary War was the American's anger. In a way, it could have been avoidable if both parties managed to find a common ground, but it did not come to be.
