y= -x-8

Explanation:

The ones in the equation are in subscript, couldn't get the equation creator to work properly....DO NOT multiply by one, they are merely subscript meant to help you identify which pair to use.

y-y1=m(x-x1)

-5=x1

-3=y1

-1=m

y- -3=-1(x- -5) then you arrive at y+3=-1(x+5)

y+3=-x-5 now you isolate the y on the left y=-x-8
