Mr. Davis from the NAACP urged Jesse that he has the chance to strike a “powerful blow” and set a statement in the black community and in the world by not participating in the Olympics. In your opinion, what does this mean? What would you do in Jesse’s position? Why?

Jesse would be protesting for for black rights by not entering the olympic. Although it could possibly impact the world, it could also hurt Jesse because this is a once in a life time opportunity and to take the risk of maybe being an advocate for black people or losing the chance to be an olympic star.
