Political: How did Japan's geography impact the development of its forms of government and power? ​

considering japan is a very mountainous island with inly three major planes, its people are very centralized in the locations that they can create urban cities. Because of this, Japan needed expand its territory to gain new power leading to it becoming an Imperialist country towards the end of the 19th century going into the 20th century.
