Explanation:

With reference angle 30°

perpendicular (p) = 20

base (b) = x

hypotenuse (h) = y

Now

sin 30° = p / h

1 / 2 = 20 / y

y = 40

Again

cos 30° = b / h

√3 / 2 = x / 40

x =40 * √3 / 2

x = 20√3
