A function, f ( x ) is defined as shown. f ( x ) = { 3 , if 0 ≤ x < 2 } f ( x ) = { 5 , if 2 ≤ x < 4 } f ( x ) = { 8 , if 4 ≤ x < 6 } A student graphs the function as shown. A coordinate grid with x and y axes ranging from zero to ten in increments of two is shown. The graph is labeled as f of x. An open circle is drawn at zero, three and joined to a closed circle drawn at two, three. An open circle is drawn at two, five and joined to a closed circle drawn at four, five. An open circle is drawn at four, eight and joined to a closed circle drawn at six, eight. Is the student's graph correct? Explain your answer.
