The pH level in the ocean is becoming more acidic due to an increased amount of

carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The increased acidity causes the shell of the larger crabs to

become softer than normal. What would happen to the population of the larger crabs and how does

that impact the population of sea otters?

PLEASE HELP ME

Answer:

as the ocean continues to absorb more CO2

Step-by-step explanation:

Because of human-driven increased levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, there is more CO2 dissolving into the ocean. The ocean's average pH is now around 8.1 , which is basic (or alkaline), but as the ocean continues to absorb more CO2, the pH decreases and the ocean becomes more acidic.
