To calculate the total number of points James ended with, we can keep a running tally of his points:
Starting with 24 points:
- Won 24 - 17 = 7 points
- Won 7 + 2 = 9 points
- Won 9 - 19 = -10 points
- Won -10 + 2 = -8 points
- Won -8 + 17 = 9 points
- Won 9 - 33 = -24 points
- Won -24 + 19 = -5 points
- Won -5 - 25 = -30 points
- Won -30 + 33 = 3 points
So, James ended with 3 points.
