The relative Maximum is the max point of a section of a graph (usually on the top of a hill) such as point D

The relative Minimum is similar to the maximum, except it refers to the bottom of the graph in a section ( or the valley) such as point B

The x-intercepts are the points in which the graph passes through the x-axis, or when y=0, such as point A

Keep in mind the relative Max/min is not the most/least of the entire graph, but rather each individual hill/valley in the graph

Answer:

A. x-intercept

B. Relative minimum

C. x-intercept

D. Relative maximum

E. Relative minimum

F. Relative maximum

G. x-intercept

H. Neither

Explanation:

x-intercepts

The x-intercept of a graph is the point at which the graph intersects the x-axis, where the y-coordinate is zero.

Therefore, the x-intercepts of the given graph are points A, C and G.

Relative minimum & relative maximum

Relative minimum and relative maximum are points on the graph where the function reaches either a local minimum value or a local maximum value.

They are often referred to as turning points since these are points on a graph where the direction of the curve changes, going from increasing to decreasing (relative maximum) or from decreasing to increasing (relative minimum) within a specific neighborhood or interval. Turning points are locations where the slope of the curve is zero.

Therefore, the relative minimums of the given graph are points B and E, and the relative maximums of the given graph are points D and F.

Note: Point H does not meet the criteria for an x-intercept as its y-value is not zero, nor does it represent a relative minimum or maximum.
