First you have to change 1 1/5 into an improper fraction.
To do that you multiply 5 by 1 and then add 1 which gives you the numerator 6. The denominator is kept the same , 5.
Know the question is 6/5-3/5 which to find the answer do6-3=3. So 3 is the numerator. The denominator is kept the same. The answer is 3/5
