Why one side of the heart is larger than the other?? (IMPORTANT TEST TOMORROW!!!!)

The left ventricle is the main powerhouse of the heart, having to pump blood all the way around the systemic circulation. Because of this it has the largest, most muscular walls of any of the chambers. In fact, it is three times as thick as the right ventricle.
