Explanation:

what do we need to do ? simplify ?

1/3 × sqrt(18) + 1/2 × sqrt(8) - 1/5 × sqrt(50) + 1

remember, when we want to bring a factor inside a multiplied square root, we need to square that factor first (because the square root will reverse this at the end again; without that first square we would change the value is the expression completely).

sqrt((1/3)²×18) + sqrt((1/2)²×8) - sqrt((1/5)²×50) + 1

sqrt(1/9 × 18) + sqrt(1/4 × 8) - sqrt(1/25 × 50) + 1

sqrt(18/9) + sqrt(8/4) - sqrt(50/25) + 1

sqrt(2) + sqrt(2) - sqrt(2) + 1

sqrt(2) + 1
