Last week in Dallas, I went to Katelyn's birthday party at her older sister, Marissa's house. It was really fun, and I wanted to tell you about it so you might consider coming next time.
Her sister's entire front porch was covered with twinkling, white Christmas lights like an oversized pearl necklace, double-looped on an old wealthy woman's neck. White and creme-colored pom-poms were all over the place! They were hanging from the roof, the bare oak trees, and even one on the collar of her fuzzy chocolate colored cat, Cookie, who greeted me at the door. As soon as Katelynn let me in, Reagan, Bella, and Kennedy ran to me bundled up in soft, festive blankets while wearing purple, red, pink, and green pajamas. Since Katelynn's birthday is only five days before Christmas, her party was Christmas themed! We stayed up watching Christmas movies and eating chocolatey snacks on her huge red couch all night. Blankets were piled all over us the whole time as we watched movies, and around 12:00 pm, we had a pillow fight on Marissa's bed since she was in the other room wrapping presents. After that, we finally snuck out and sat back on the couch when Marissa came back in, as if we hadn't gotten up since she left.
We sang "Happy Birthday" and ate chocolate cake at her dining table, and Katelynn opened her presents. She loved your present, by the way.
Right before we were about to leave, Marissa found pillows all over her roomand stormed out with disappointment. So we snuck back into her room and picked up all the pillows, giggling the whole time.
