Write the equation of the line with a slope of -5 that passes through the point (3, 4). A) (a) y = -5x - 11; (b) 5x + y = -11 B) (a) y = -5x + 19; (b) 5x + y = 19 C) (a) y = -5x - 1; (b) 5x + y = -1 D) (a) y = -5x + 9; (b) 5x + y = 9

The point given is not a y-intercept so we can find b from the slope intercept form.

Where x=3, y=4 and m=-5

Y=mx+b

4= -5(3) +b
4= -15 + b
19=b. Y = -5x+19
