ΔXYZ is an isosceles triangle & XY = XZ, therefore:

YX' = X'Z

= 20 ÷ 2

= 10 cm

ΔXYZ' is a right triangle, therefore:

XY² = YX'² + XX'²

16² = 10² + XX'²

XX'² = 256 - 100

XX' = √156

= 2√39 cm
